In our usual round of Saturday morning television, we watched the Food Network. Hey, it's G rated, for the most part, and I'd rather LB watch that than cartoons. But, back to the point.

So on Everyday Italian, Giada was cooking for an afternoon tea, and one of her nibbles was bruschetta with melted gorganzola drizzled with honey. Sounded weird enough I had to try. SO GOOD.

Slice bread, brush olive oil on both sides, toast in over for approx. 10 minutes, until golden brown and crunchy. Put 1 slice gorganzola on bread slice and melt in over, approx. 3 minutes. Drizzle with a respectable amount of honey. Serve immediately.

Let me repeat, SO YUMMY. I used Gorganzola Dolce from whole foods, a very wet, creamy gorganzola, and clover honey from the farmer's market. I think orange blossom honey would have worked better, but still, I gobbled down all three pieces I made and had to restrain myself from making more.
